Current Chapter Session Synopses
Synopses of each session from Chapter 4
Session 89
Barqus rolled a nat20 to break off his dragon horns as a sign of his commitment as a Chattan to restoring their clans and destroying the children of Tiamat. This after fistfighting with Claddagh MacChattan, head of the Drake Hall dragon fighters and (it turns out) secret member of the Knights of Dul'Wraithe (legendary Chattan heroes who held the line at Osgiliarh, basically, as the dragon's first arrived in Chattan lands generations ago).
Barq is fine, as his Hellboy maneuver actually ended the fight when it knocked him unconscious (unarmed crit damage against himself lol) and he got healing right away. Found out from the cross-section of his horn that his dragon blood is, indeed, silver, and it runs through his bones in the marrow. Sheds red, though.
Minn (who is now an accomplished enchanter) managed to cast Fabricate on the broken-off horns to make a new handaxe to replace the one Barq lost after Kratos-throwing it at that one pixie in the Druid Cache.
And Barq had the stumps filed flat (like Hellboy) with celtic iconography and knotwork scrimshawed into it. Now they're headed to Giant country again to enlist some help for a recon mission back to Dul'Wraithe, which is where they suspect the White Dragon demigod son of Tiamat is currently parked, since a terrible ice storm a hundred miles across is currently afflicting Drake Hall, which is about 100 miles from there.
Session 90
AFV traveled to Alborg, capital of giant country, to enlist what aid they could for the upcoming recon mission to Dul'Wraithe; instead, they found the giants beset by the (arguably) weakest of Tiamats sons, Makot the Plague Lord (green dragon). His breath is plague-ridden vapor that can raise its victims to undeath! With a carefully placed message to Ari, the shadow of the light was alerted to the impending danger in their own neck of the woods, and likely assistance was enlisted. Before the session wrapped up, the team went on a hunt with the two half Giants to see if they could strike a blow against Makots forces, setting their sites on a smaller green that was then chased off by a huge green... Which was summarily slain by our heroes.
Session 91
After hastily planning the defense of Alborg, the AFV hunker down and prepare for the imminent arrival of dragons, zombies, and one of the sons of Tiamat; awakening to the thunder of war at the gates, our heroes leap into action! Will axes, claws, spells, arrows, or even the return of an old ally be able to stem the tide of Makot's forces? And if they weather this first wave, can the AFV hope to survive an extended siege?
Session 95
In the midst of defending the giant capital, the first of Tiamat's five sons makes his appearance, and the AFV will have to pull out all the stops to defeat him. Will the heroes of Avalon survive? Will the giants who fight alongside them have a home left standing when it's all over? Will anyone be able to withstand the withering influence of Makot? And if not, what fallout will be left behind?
