Biography

Background

A long time ago, yesterday(For this is the way of time in the feywilde), a little fairy found herself in the presence of a most beautiful and mysterious being. It was an encounter that would change her life, and set her on a road that would span the planes, and take her beyond her wildest dreams.
To begin, we ought to introduce our little fairy. Names are very different in the feywilde, from the common sort that we are accustomed to in our world. In our world, one might be called John, or Martha, and that is that. The name may have a meaning, or it may not, and that is fine either way. But while names in our world are representative of the individual; names in the feywilde are much more important. They must communicate the very soul and flavor of the individual, and so they can become quite complex. For our fairy, this was no less true, and her name was "Echo of distant memories, held fondly by the warmth of good company." The actual pronunciation is quite impossible for our tongue to grasp, but is something akin to a deep, contented sigh. Elvish, with it's strong ties to the Sylvan tongue, gets closest to the idea, and comes out something like Nostalgia. For most however, she simplifies her name to Echo, and leaves it at that.
With that covered, lets get back to the story. Echo had been making her way carelessly through the shady glades and golden meadows of the ever-autumn, enjoying the golden warmth of the light as it fell softly over the sleepy woods and sprawling hill country. She had just flown to the top of a round hill to sit on a particularly comfortable toadstool in the sun, when she caught sight of a strange and beautiful woman. The woman had dark skin, and warm eyes, and she was dressed in rich silks and golden bangles. At first, she didn't seem to notice the fairy, but Echo has always been driven by her curiosity. She had to come closer, and eventually flew right up to the woman. The lady smiled down kindly toward the fairy, and asked if she lived here. That was enough for Echo, and she began to chatter on about her life in the ever-autumn, and all the creatures that she knew in the cool woods, or by the sleepy creek. She talked on and on, and finally got round to talkig about how she talks too much, and that many people had said that it would get her into trouble. She continued though, talking about how much she liked seeing everything, and everyone, and how intriguingly different people could be. The lady laughed softly, and it was like tinkling bells and soft music. She asked if Echo had ever been to other worlds, and the fairy said no, although she should like to very much. She said she wished more than anything to be able to see what they were like, and to visit them.
That was enough for the lady with the sweet smile. She turned to look directly at the little fairy, and explained that she was a Djinni, and that she would give Echo her wish. With a flash of golden light, the world faded around Echo, and she found herself in the Djinni's, far away from the world of the feywilde. The woman introduced herself as Shimorgha, an Air aligned Djinni. She explained that she would give Echo her wish, if Echo would agree to serve her when the need arose. Echo quickly agreed, and Shimorgha became Echo's Patron. She stayed with Shimorgha for sometime after that, but eventually was sent to the Prime Material plane, to the swordcoast to begin her journey across the planes.

Notable Items

Fable A gift to help care for Echo in her travels, fable is a being of pure fey energy. He can take multiple forms, but generally takes the form of an Imp like creature, as it gives him the greatest range of abilities. He can talk, and when he does, his voice sounds like the most wonderful storyteller you could imagine. If he ever must take a visible form, he generally would take the form of a raven or a spider.
